Ever wonder where your bananas come from?
Here in Cuba, there are thousands of banana plantations. Small sweet bananas rich in potassium travel thousands of miles to get to our doors. As fit athletes who eat clean, bananas are a very important, vitamin and mineral packed snack and are best consumed post-workout as they are the quickest way to replenish the muscles with the glucose that is necessary for muscle tissue repair.
Add them to your smoothies or shakes, or try my banana chia ice cream recipe:
1 Frozen Banana
15g Chia Seeds
11/2 Tbsp Cacao Powder
3-5 Drops Vanilla Creme Liquid Stevia
1 Tbsp Raw Chocolate Chips Unsweetened
1. Blend all ingredients except chocolate chips in food processor or magic bullet
2. Serve immediate topped with chocolate chips
