6 Ways to Enjoy Avocado for Breakfast!
Avocados are one of the healthiest fats you can consume. They are a considered to be a superfood and are chalk full of carotenoids, fiber, monosaturated fats, and contain oleic acid which keeps you feeling fuller longer. They are fabulous for your hair and skin as well.
Avocados keep you lean and help to slim your belly plus they add a unique complexity to every recipe!
Try adding avocados to your breakfast to mix things up and get your nutrient kick first thing!
Here are some of my favourite signature recipes:
Avo-Overnight Oats - Mix oats, greek yogurt, chia seeds, vanilla stevia or raw honey and a bit of almond milk together in a jar and refrigerate. In the morning, stir and mash in some avocado!
Raw Chocolate Avocado Mousse - Mash avocado, raw cacao, natural vanilla or vanilla pod and stevia until smooth. Add cacao nibs and a scoop of raw, chocolate protein if desired.
Sunny Avocado - Scoop out the seed and a little of the avocado. Crack an egg in the hole and bake until the egg is poached to your liking. Season with crystal salt & pepper.
Avocado Superfood Smoothie - Blend avocado, coconut butter, coconut water, coconut meat, unsweetened cashew or hemp milk, banana and pistachios or pistachio butter.
Avocado & Lachs - On a sprouted whole grain toast, mash avocado and season with crystal salt & pepper. Lay salmon Lachs over the toast and top with soft poached eggs or buffalo mozzarella cheese.
Avo & Ovo Pizza - On a sprouted, whole grain, toasted pita, mash avocado, minced garlic & a bit of lime juice. Lay grilled egg(s) overtop and season with crystal salt & pepper. Cut into wedges.
